Point2Point Episode 19

Jason and Scott talk about their respective Prezcon experiences, then talk about the Host Throwdown going on currently between them. They then run an interview with PrezCon director Justin Thompson.

They finish, of course, with a new gamer rule, this one coming from a listener!

I'm unable to download past the 50% point of the podcast, either through iTunes or by clicking on the link on your site.

I was able to download it from iTunes. Not sure if anything was fixed, however.

Love the episode guys! So, what is the release schedule for all of the interviews you did?

Hmmm...not completely fleshed out...

The next ep will be our phone interview with Ric Manns, where we talk about Liberty and he talks about the National Block Party...

I think the next one after that will be the Columbia games or GMT episode (tough call - two Columbia eps in a row? - probably GMT - although I flip-flop).

The next one will be the other Company interview

The one after that is probably Mark Miklos (Monmouth shipping in May)

Then we'll do the all about Rise and Fall...

Whew...that's a lot! About then, it's time to get FOS Joe back on and talk some Pseudocon!

oh, and add our "club spotlight segment" (FINALLY!)

and a review of Battleground Fantasy Warfare and Combat Commander (probably)

We should be pretty well set...

Jason, any shot at getting an interview with Ken Dunn? The release of ASLSK#3 should be very, very soon!

Jason--

Don't forget to post the podcast on the Geek. I wandered over there for the first time in a couple of days (hey, the weather was great, so why not go for a hike with the family for a change?), and I didn't see it in the forum entries.

I haven't even finished listening to it but yet another great episode. The P2P throwdown PoG commentary was particularly good stuff. I am so holing up the Serbs in Skopje in my next PoG game ;)

National Block Party...

Sounds like a fascist organisation. :p

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the designer interviews, game reviews and strategy and game session discussion. I'm a lot less interested in game convention and hobby store talk. Not surprising considering that as a European, I'm not exactly the demographic who's ever going to attend such a convention or make it to a brick & mortar across the pond...

Jason and Scott, lets see some more shows! Then I'll have enough material to make it worth the effort to revisit the more recent shows and add the new gamer rules to the geeklist I made. :)

Scott--

It just occured to me that I know where that copy of Guilford you got a hold of came from: that was the copy reserved for me.

I'd called at the beginning of January to see where my copy of Guilford was, and the woman at the end of the line said she'd put a copy aside for me. A month passed, and I called again to find out that GMT was sold out. I then scoured the game stores locally and found a copy, so all was good.

However, a couple of days later, GMT called back and said that they had a copy for me (the same one that was "put aside" and forgotten about, I guess), and I explained that I obtained a copy already.

It's all good, I guess: you got a copy, and so did I.
